How does the Adamancipator deck work in Yu-Gi-Oh!?
The Adamancipator Tuners — Analyzer, Researcher and Seeker — share the same effect: excavate the top 5 cards of the Deck, Special Summon a Level 4 or lower non-Tuner Rock monster among them, then place the rest on the bottom of the Deck. The Tuner and the Summoned monster are then used for a Synchro Summon.
The other cards of the archetype also excavate, but do not look for the same thing: Conductor accepts Tuners, Adamancipator Friends adds a Rock monster to the hand, Risen - Raptite Summons any Rock monster, Risen - Leonite adds an "Adamancipator" card, and both Risen - Dragite and Risen - Tiamite return one opposing card per Rock monster excavated.

The mathematical formula
If there are N cards left in the Deck, of which K valid targets, excavating 5 cards is a draw without replacement (hypergeometric distribution):
P(≥ 1) = 1 − C(N−K, 5) / C(N, 5)
The tool applies this law to the Deck left after your opening hand: it adds up every hand that holds a card that excavates, removing from the Deck the targets already drawn.
How to use the tool
- 1. Import your decklist : Paste a YDKE code or choose a saved deck: the cards that excavate and their targets are counted for you. Without a decklist, enter the three numbers by hand.
- 2. Read the odds of getting going : The main result combines the opening hand and the first excavation. The opinions tell you whether the problem comes from the cards that excavate or from the targets.
- 3. Compare the effects : Click an effect to see its valid targets highlighted on your decklist, Extra Deck included.

Frequently asked questions about the Adamancipator deck
With 10 Level 4 or lower non-Tuner Rock monsters in a 40-card Deck, an excavation of 5 cards hits in nearly 8 cases out of 10. With 7, it only hits 2 times out of 3. The grid in the tool gives the exact figure for your list.

The 5 cards are placed on the bottom of the Deck and the Tuner is left alone on the field. A second excavation looks at the next 5 cards: the tool also gives the chance that at least one of the two hits.
