Monsters that cannot be revived
Sent to the Graveyard without being properly Summoned, they cannot be Special Summoned ("Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set", "Must first be Special Summoned", Ritual Monsters…): they are not counted.

Deck by deck
A decks × Charmers grid shows at a glance which one to pick against each opponent.
Real targets
For each deck, the monsters of each Attribute the Charmer can Summon, Extra Deck included.
The six Link-2 Charmers (always treated as "Familiar-Possessed" cards) are Link Summoned with 2 monsters, including one of their Attribute: Aussa (EARTH), Dharc (DARK), Eria (WATER), Hiita (FIRE), Lyna (LIGHT) and Wynn (WIND).
Their effect is the same: you target 1 monster of their Attribute in your opponent's GY and Special Summon it to a zone the Charmer points to. If she is destroyed by battle or by an opponent's card effect, you add 1 monster of her Attribute with 1500 or less DEF from your Deck to your hand.
So it all comes down to which Attribute dominates in the decks you face. The calculator answers that for your metagame, and you can then build your Yu-Gi-Oh! Deck.
FAQ
The one whose Attribute is the most common among the revivable monsters of the decks you face. The calculator picks it for your metagame, with its worst matchup.
Yes, if it was properly Summoned before going to the GY, which is the case for Extra Deck monsters used as Material or destroyed.
No. A monster that must first be properly Summoned cannot be revived if it was never Summoned: the tool does not count it.
This calculator only covers the six Link-2 Charmers that steal a monster from the opponent's GY (Aussa, Immovable; Dharc, Gloomy; Eria, Gentle; Hiita, Ablaze; Lyna, Lustrous; Wynn, Verdant).
