Pre-Preparation of Rites is a Normal Spell: it adds 1 Ritual Spell from your Deck to your hand, and 1 Ritual Monster whose name is listed on that Ritual Spell, from your Deck or GY.
It finds both pieces of a Ritual Summon with a single card. You can only activate 1 "Pre-Preparation of Rites" per turn.
This page answers it for every card in the game, and for your Yu-Gi-Oh! Deck.
The rules the tool applies
- A Ritual Spell that names a Ritual Monster : Only Ritual Spells whose text names a specific Ritual Monster are targets. Generic Spells (Advanced Ritual Art) or archetype Spells ("a "Nekroz" Ritual Monster") name no monster and cannot be added.
- Both cards, or nothing : The effect adds the Spell AND the monster: you need both to activate it. Under each Ritual Spell, the page shows the Ritual Monster(s) it lets you add.
- The monster can come from the GY : The Ritual Monster is taken from your Deck or GY. The decklist calculation is about the opening hand: it only counts the monsters still in the Deck.
- TCG et OCG : Cards released only in the OCG are listed with an “OCG” badge; the “TCG cards only” checkbox hides them.
How to use the tool
- 1. Every card in the game : Every target is listed, most viewed first. Filter by name, Attribute, Type or Level, and sort by ATK, DEF or release date.
- 2. In my decklist : Import a deck (YDKE code or saved deck): the tool separates the cards of your deck the effect can reach from those it cannot.
- 3. Adjust your deck : Spot the targets you are not playing yet, open their card page, then test the new list in the deckbuilder.
