Obedience Schooled is a Normal Spell. If you control no monsters, you Special Summon 3 Level 2 or lower Beast Effect Monsters with different names from your Deck.
Their effects are negated and they are destroyed during the End Phase. If you activate this card, you cannot Special Summon for the rest of the turn, except Beast monsters: the 3 monsters are therefore used as Materials for a Beast Link, Synchro or Xyz Monster.
This page answers it for every card in the game, and for your Yu-Gi-Oh! Deck.
The rules the tool applies
- Level 2 or lower Beast Effect Monster from the Main Deck : The monster must be a Beast Effect Monster, Level 1 or 2. Normal Monsters are excluded; Tuner, Flip, Spirit and Pendulum Effect Monsters are accepted.
- 3 different names, all in the Deck : The 3 monsters come from the Deck and have different names: you still need 3 different targets in the Deck on activation. A target whose copies are all in your hand no longer counts.
- No monster on your field : The card can only be activated if you control no monsters: it is played first in the turn, before any Summon.
- TCG et OCG : Cards released only in the OCG are listed with an “OCG” badge; the “TCG cards only” checkbox hides them.
How to use the tool
- 1. Every card in the game : Every target is listed, most viewed first. Filter by name, Attribute, Type or Level, and sort by ATK, DEF or release date.
- 2. In my decklist : Import a deck (YDKE code or saved deck): the tool separates the cards of your deck the effect can reach from those it cannot.
- 3. Adjust your deck : Spot the targets you are not playing yet, open their card page, then test the new list in the deckbuilder.

Frequently asked questions about Obedience Schooled
Any Level 2 or lower Beast Effect Monster from the Main Deck: Tri-Brigade Kitt, Tri-Brigade Kerass, Nimble Beaver or Melffy Catty, for example. You need 3 with different names.
At least 3 different names. Playing more, or several copies, lowers the risk of drawing one and no longer having 3 in the Deck. In decklist mode, the page calculates this probability.
No: their effects are negated and they are destroyed in the End Phase. They are used as Materials, and only Beast monsters can be Special Summoned that turn.
Switch to “In my decklist” and import a deck (YDKE code or saved deck): the page separates the targets you play from the cards out of reach.
