What is a YCS?
The Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series (YCS) is the highest level of open tournament in the competitive Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG circuit organized by Konami, outside of the World Championships. These events bring together several hundred to over a thousand players from around the world, with cash prizes and collectible card rewards.
YCS events usually take place over a weekend, with an Advanced format (standard banlist) and, more recently, a parallel Genesys format. Each edition also awards qualification points for the World Championships.
Before you travel, prepare your main deck and side deck with the Yu-Gi-Oh! deckbuilder, and plan your siding strategy against the archetypes expected in the metagame.
